Our History

One of the oldest and most successful collection agencies in the Southwest, CBF Services takes pride in a kind, yet firm, approach to collecting money due our clients. Founded in 1956 in Farmington, NM, CBF Services is owned and operated by William Sharer.

An extremely low employee turnover rate (our typical employee has been with us for eight years in an industry that averages 100% turnover every 13 months) means that our collectors are experienced and productive.

Our collectors tend to be more mature than is typical in the collections business, which we believe better helps them determine if people really cannot pay or if they simply do not want to. Having faced and worked through hard times themselves, our collectors are much more likely to be able to help the consumer find solutions to their problems.

In addition to an experienced and skilled staff, CBF Services uses the very latest in technology. Our high-speed, computerized system allows us to contact thousands of people per day.
